Les Vulnerables - 2007

Set in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Les Vulnerables is a coming-of-age story about a schoolboy who tries to prove his manhood to his once-famous, now-handicapped father while crossing the border between Congo and Rwanda. It was the CLOSING NIGHT SHORT of the 2007 New York Film Festival and an OFFICIAL SELECTION at the 2008 Berlinale. It won the Focus Features "Best Director" Award at the 2008 Columbia University Film Festival and was a grand jury prize winner at the 2008 AFI DALLAS Film Festival.
